The Wizards have waived point guard Ryan Rollins, the team announced in a press release.

Rollins, 21, is 6-foot-4 and was acquired from the Warriors this past summer as part of the trade that delivered guard Jordan Poole to Washington and sent point guard Chris Paul to Golden State.

Originally selected by the Hawks with the No. 44 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Rollins spent his rookie season with the Warriors, appearing in 12 games after signing a multiyear contract.

The former Toledo star has appeared in 10 games with the Wizards, also spending plenty of time with the Capital City Go-Go of the G League.

Per Josh Robbins of The Athletic, the Wizards intend to fill Rollins’ vacant roster spot soon.
