Woman files emergency protective order after Rajon Rondo allegedly threatened her with gun

A Louisville woman has filed an emergency protective order against Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Rajon Rondo, alleging he threatened her with a gun at her home last week, TMZ Sports first reported on Monday.

In the EPO, obtained by ESPN, the woman alleges "Rondo and a child were playing video games Wednesday when she asked the child to separate laundry. Rondo reacted angrily, according to the woman, ripping the game console out of the wall and smashing several items in the house, leaving the boy and another child there upset."

She said that Rondo returned shortly after with a gun and threatened to see each of the children outside of the house. The woman then allegedly called former interim Louisville Metro Police Chief Yvette Gentry for help, and Gentry eventually took Rondo's gun before he left the scene.

The woman filed the protective order Friday and it was granted the same day, both sources reported. According to TMZ, the woman is the mother of Rondo's children.

The NBA said they are aware of the allegations and are working on getting more information about the incident before making any kind of a statement, TMZ said.

Rondo, who is from Louisville and played college ball at Kentucky, was traded to the Cavaliers this year by the Los Angeles Lakers. He averaged 6.2 points and 4.9 assists in 21 games played for Cleveland. He becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer.
