Zion Williamson believes he could have made it in NFL

Zion Williamson is one of the most athletically gifted players to enter the NBA in a long time, as his combination of size, strength and speed have made him a nightmare for defenders. Would his unique set of skills translate onto the gridiron? Williamson thinks so, as he said he believes he could make it in the NFL.

"Yeah, I believe I could," Williamson told Shannon Sharpe on the "Club Shay Shay" podcast. "I'm just a competitor."

What position does he think he could play? Williamson said that he thinks he would be most suited to be a pass-catcher.

"I think I would either do tight end or receiver. One of those two," Williamson said.

Williamson isn't the only superstar NBA player to tease switching over to the NFL. LeBron James has long been linked to football, as he was an all-state receiver in high school. LeBron even admitted to considering joining the Cowboys or Seahawks a decade ago but ultimately decided to stick with basketball.

Sadly, we likely will never get the chance to see if Williamson or LeBron could have actually made it as football players. Nevertheless, it remains fun to speculate about who would have had the better NFL career.
