Ben Simmons is in contract to buy a $13 million property in Brooklyn.

Ben Simmons is yet to make his debut with the Nets, but he's already making moves in Brooklyn, set to add more properties to his portfolio. Simmons is getting ready to face a challenging 2022-23 NBA season where everybody will be paying attention to whatever the Nets do or don't.

The Australian point guard will get a lot of attention after sitting out the entire 2021-21 season, first due to mental health issues and then with a back injury that forced him to get surgery.

This upcoming campaign will present a lot of questions for the Nets, but we're still a couple of weeks ago before the answers start coming. Meanwhile, Ben is doing business in Brooklyn, and recent reports suggest he's set to make a big purchase.

Ben Simmons To Purchase $13 Million Combo Unit In Brooklyn

As he recently explained when talking about his relationship with the people in Philadelphia, Simmons likes to invest his money in real estate, and that's exactly what he's doing now. According to the New York Post, the player is set to disburse $13 million to get a huge residence.

No, not a new fiancée, but a new Brooklyn home — an apartment that Jama “was instrumental” in helping Simmons pick, sources tell Gimme Shelter.

Specifically, the three-time NBA All-Star is in contract to purchase a sprawling residence asking around $13 million in affluent Dumbo.

The home is a two-unit combo at the Olympia, a 33-story luxury tower at 30 Front St. The building is decked out with 38,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, including a regulation-size tennis court overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge.

This is a good signal for the Brooklyn Nets, as it looks like Simmons is thinking of staying there for the long term. It could only be business and nothing else, but this speaks well about Simmons' plans for the future. The Brooklyn Nets will have a lot of pressure on their shoulders as they probably have three of the five most polarizing players in the NBA right now.

If they can get things together, this team will be hard to beat, but last season showed us that we can trust how good this team looks on paper.
