It did not take long for the Detroit Pistons to get back at the Milwaukee Bucks.

On Thursday, Milwaukee stunned the Eastern Conference-leading Pistons for a 113–109 win at Fiserv Forum despite two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Giannis Antetokounmpo leaving the game in the first quarter due to an injury.

On Saturday, Cade Cunningham and company crushed Milwaukee at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, 124-112.

It’s the second win against the Bucks for Detroit in the 2025-26 NBA season, thus finally breaking a particular spell that lasted nearly 10 years.

“Pistons have multiple wins against the Bucks in a season for the first time since 2018,” StatMuse shared via a social media post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Pistons go up 2-1 in 2025-26 regular season series against Bucks

Detroit used a balanced attack to thwart the Bucks. Cunningham led the way for the host team with 23 points on an 8-for-18 shooting from the field to go along with 12 assists and six rebounds.

Big man Jalen Duren had a double-double of 16 points and 16 boards, while Isaiah Stewart pumped in 19 points on an efficient 6-for-8 shooting from the floor.

Detroit’s bench also produced three players with at least 10 points each. Including Javonte Green, who chipped in 13 points with two 3-pointers.

Meanwhile, Kevin Porter Jr. shone for the Bucks, albeit in a loss, as he dropped a game-high 32 points on 11-for-16 shooting, as Kyle Kuzma and Myles Turner had 15 and 12 points, respectively.

Detroit won the first meeting this season against Milwaukee on the road, 120-116, on Nov. 22. The Pistons and the Bucks will share the floor one more time in the regular season, but that will not be until Apr. 8 of 2026 in Detroit.
