Cavaliers rookie Evan Mobley out two to four weeks with elbow sprain

If the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to continue their surprisingly decent start to the 2021-2022 NBA season, they're going to have to do so without star rookie Evan Mobley for up to one month.

According to The Athletic, Mobley is expected to miss two to four weeks after spraining his elbow during Cleveland's loss to the Boston Celtics on Monday night.

Mobley has started and played in all 15 of the Cavs' games this season, averaging 14.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.6 blocks and 33.7 minutes per game. He has also posted a 49.4/30.8/77.1 shooting line and helped Cleveland get off to a 9-6 start this season.

Now, the third overall pick will have to sit and watch for up to a month.

The Cavaliers next face the Brooklyn Nets at 7:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
