Celtics to retire Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett's number in March

Boston initially announced that Garnett's number would be retired during the 2020-21 season. However, the ceremony had to be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Garnett helped lead the Celtics to an NBA title during the 2007-08 season alongside Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. He averaged 15.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game for Boston from 2007 to 2013. He made five All-Star appearances as a Celtic, an All-NBA First Team and was named Defensive Player of the Year during the 2007-08 campaign. 

The Celtics made the playoffs in each of Garnett's seasons with the franchise, making the NBA Finals twice.

Garnett, a Hall of Famer, made 15 All-Star teams, earned nine All-NBA selections and won the 2003-04 MVP in his 21-year career. In addition to the Celtics, he played 14 seasons for the Minnesota Timberwolves, which drafted him fifth overall in 1995, and the Brooklyn Nets.

Jones (25), Cedric Maxwell (31), Kevin McHale (32), Larry Bird (33), Paul Pierce (34), Reggie Lewis (35) and Robert Parrish (00).
