Cavaliers newcomer Donovan Mitchell arrived to Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland on Wednesday, just hours before his introductory press conference.

He not only wore a hoodie sporting the Cavs’ new logo and “wine” color, but a hat depicting the Cleveland Browns’ old-school “Elfie” logo.

Hey, Mitchell knows what season it is — as the NFL’s Browns are 1-0 and set for their season-opener (vs. the New York Jets) on Sunday.

But soon, it will be time for training camp, and the Cavs to begin their run with the likes of Mitchell, acquired from the Jazz, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, Kevin Love and the rest.

They are already coming off a promising 44-38 season and near appearance in the playoffs. President of basketball operations Koby Altman , coach J.B. Bickerstaff and the rest of the Cavs believe Mitchell can help them get to another level.

Hoops Wire will continue to provide Mitchell and the Cavaliers throughout the 2022-23 season, so keep it right here.
