Eastern Conference Recaps, Mar. 1: The New York Knicks Scored 47 First Quarter Points In Victory Against Nets

The New York Knicks scored 47 points in the first quarter on the way to a 142-118 victory against the Brooklyn Nets. 

The first quarter total was one point shy of the franchise record. 

Jalen Brunson led the way with 39 points, scoring 30 of them in the first half. Quentin Grimes had 22 points and Julius Randle had 21. Cameron Johnson led the Nets with a season-high 33 points including a season-high seven 3-pointers. Mikal Bridges had 21 points and Cam Thomas led the bench with 15.

OTHER NOTES:

-Devin Booker had 37 points to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 105-91 victory against the Charlotte Hornets. 

It was the Suns debut for Kevin Durant, who finished 23 points. It was his first time playing in two months.

-Zach LaVine scored 41 points to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 117-115 victory against the Detroit Pistons. The Bulls nearly blew a 15-point, halftime lead but were saved when Pistons guard Jaden Ivey called a timeout that they didn't have on the inbounds of the final possession.

-The Milwaukee Bucks hit a season-high 26 3-pointers in a 139-117 victory against the Orlando Magic. It was their 16th straight win. 

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with31 points. 

NEXT MAGIC GAME AGAINST THE HEAT: Mar. 11 in Orlando

-Jayson Tatum scored 41 points to offset Donovan Mitchell's 44 in the Boston Celtics 117-113 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
