Allen Iverson losing another home to foreclosure
Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

For a man who earned nearly $155 million during his Hall of Fame NBA career, former superstar Allen Iverson is not in a good spot financially.

Various reports now note that Iverson is on the verge of losing a second home to foreclosure.

This time, it’s a seven-bedroom, 7.5-bathroom home in Alpharetta, Ga. The property has been listed by Iverson’s realtor and is coming in at a cost of just $1.14 million. Iverson originally paid $2.19 million for the house back in 2006. So yeah, he’s taking a $1-plus million hit.

According to the listing, this house comes with a media room, a pool area and a large exercise room.

You might remember that Iverson lost a $2.8 million Atlanta home to foreclosure back in 2013. It’s a home he had personally built for himself back in 2009 for a cool $4.5 million.

If there’s any lesson to be learned here, it’s that no matter how much money you have, it’s important to understand full well that it can be lost just as quickly as it was earned. Sadly for Iverson, this lesson has come a bit too late.
