The time is here. Opening night kicks off tomorrow, and the big names will be out there. The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors will face off against each other. It won’t be another chapter of the Stephen Curry and LeBron James rivalry. Unfortunately, the latter is suffering from an injury, keeping him out for the first few weeks. On the other hand, his nemesis has just enjoyed a successful preseason.
The Warriors won three of their five postseason games. Stephen Curry featured in four and clearly had a fun time. He averaged 18.3 points, his highest in the past four preseasons. Furthermore, with the implementation of the high-five rule, he also went to the line more than twice as often in comparison to last season.
Clearly, age isn’t stopping the Baby Face Assassin from being elite. The Warriors also enter this season with high expectations. Their roster is crammed with experienced veterans who have dominated under the big lights. Stephen Curry has also enjoyed playing against the Los Angeles Lakers recently.
He surpassed 30 points in three of the four regular-season games against the Purple and Gold last season. It might have been fueled by the fact that LeBron James was on the opposing team. Likewise, they had to put on a show for the fans. But despite his great efforts, the Warriors could only win a single game against their conference rivals last season. They will hope to snap that record by getting a win on opening night.
But where can you watch Curry taking on Luka Doncic and Co?
Although LeBron James isn’t playing, the allure around the heavyweight bout is still feisty. The Warriors, still with their vintage core, take on the new age of the Lakers, led by Luka Doncic. For fans, it’s two of the most electric point guards battling one another. So let’s see where you can watch the battle between the Lakers and the Warriors.
NBC’s streaming platform Peacock will stream the opening night game. It will also be available on NBC for those using cable. Furthermore, the NBA League Pass is a one-stop destination for all the regular-season and playoff action during the season. And this isn’t a game one would want to miss.
Stephen Curry is entering his twilight years, but still actively hunting for a championship. The Warriors have an upgraded core, with additions of Al Horford and other marquee names. On the other hand, the Lakers aren’t favored, but have a dynamic pairing of Doncic and Austin Reaves alongside the Crypto.com Arena’s rapturous support. The game will begin at 10:00 PM ET.
