Jamal Crawford suffers hamstring injury six minutes into Nets debut

The Brooklyn Nets notched a surprising 119-116 win over the Milwaukee Bucks at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Tuesday, but one of the brighter stories of the day ended disappointingly after only six minutes.

As ESPN's Nick Friedell , Brooklyn guard Jamal Crawford exited his debut outing for the club after six minutes of play due to a left hamstring injury.

Crawford, who turned 40 years old in March, last played meaningful NBA minutes on April 9, 2019, when he dropped 51 points on the Dallas Mavericks as a member of the Phoenix Suns. Crawford never retired following the 2018-19 campaign, and he landed with the shorthanded Nets ahead of the restart.

As noted by NBA.com, the Nets acquired Crawford after Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Spencer Dinwiddie, DeAndre Jordan, Wilson Chandler, and Taurean Prince opted out of playing.

Crawford scored five points and went 2-4 from the field versus Milwaukee until he prematurely left the game.
