Kris Dunn agrees to two-year, $10 million deal with Hawks

Kris Dunn is joining a new squad after the Chicago Bulls did not extend a qualifying offer to him ahead of free agency.

The guard is signing a two-year, $10 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. He'll pair nicely with star point guard Trae Young.

Dunn was selected fifth overall in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He spent one season in Minnesota before being shipped to Chicago one year later as part of the Jimmy Butler trade.

The 26-year-old had two solid seasons with the Bulls before seeing his minutes cut last season to make room for rookie point guard Coby White, who impressed in his first season with the team.

While Dunn was solid defensively last season, he struggled on offense, averaging just 7.3 points per game while shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 25.9 percent from deep.

His career could be rejuvenated in Atlanta, where he'll be relied more heavily upon.
