The Lakers are looking to make some moves this offseason, and young forward Kyle Kuzma's name keeps popping up as a potential trade piece, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.
Los Angeles is looking to add more shooting to their arsenal, CBS Sports adds. Since the 25-year-old's numbers have fluctuated in that category as he has developed into a regular role player, he could be a good fit for a team that is looking for more defense upfront.
Then again -- as CBS also points out -- Kuzma could be a central part of trade talks right now because the Lakers don't have much wiggle room to work with. Even with only seven players under contract, the bulk of Los Angeles' capital is tied up in LeBron James and Anthony Davis -- not to forget they gave a lot of draft stock to New Orleans in order to bring Davis to L.A. Kuzma's current contract isn't too long or hefty to move, making him an ideal trade chip.
It should be noted this isn't just about what the Lakers want, (as hard as it is to believe anyone other than James has a say.) Kuzma is likely looking for a fresh start as well, given recent comments he has made about "chemistry issues" in L.A.'s locker room.
