LeBron James and Anthony Davis both out Friday vs. Hornets

The Lakers will be without both of their stars as they take on one of the league's most promising young teams.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis will both miss the Lakers' showdown with the Hornets on Friday night. James is nursing a knee issue, and Davis has an injury in his wrist.

James missed Los Angeles' tilt against Philadelphia on Thursday night as well. He's dealing with a sore left knee, and was reported to be "day-to-day," according to coach Frank Vogel.

Davis missed significant time after suffering a knee sprain back in December, but he finally returned to the hardwood on Jan. 25. He was sidelined again on Thursday after suffering a wrist injury that possibly occurred when he hit the court on his way down from a dunk.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, the Lakers are 9-10 when without both James and Davis over the past three seasons. When healthy, Davis is averaging 23 points and 9.7 rebounds per game, while James is averaging 29.1 points — second-best in the NBA — 7.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists per contest.
