SpringHill Entertainment, the media conglomerate operated by LeBron James and longtime business partner Maverick Carter, recently topped $100 million in outside investments. Rightfully so, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar is “incredibly proud” of the milestone, not to mention the diversity SpringHill Entertainment enjoys among its staff.
The impressive investment haul by SpringHill Entertainment that helped the company hit $100 million in financial backing is covered by Jason Kelly of Bloomberg Businessweek in an extensive report.
In light of the news, James took to Twitter Thursday to celebrate the company’s growth and expanding influence in the entertainment industry.
Incredibly proud of today’s announcement! We started building this company almost 5 years ago and while I love every project and story we tell…I am most proud of our team. 100+ employees, 64% people of color and 40% female in an industry that avg 25%. https://t.co/UqPTJ341Xz

Our leadership team is a reflection of our entire organization. I want to thank everyone at The Springhill Company for believing in our vision! We closed this deal in March and I knew our work was going to keep getting more and more necessary. Let’s continue greatness. pic.twitter.com/O3jQR47bjf

SpringHill Entertainment, which boasts James as chairman and Carter as CEO, is also associated with Uninterrupted LLC, the duo’s multimedia platform. Given the tremendous amount of success the partnership’s business endeavors have already enjoyed, it’s understandable that James felt compelled to take a victory lap Thursday to commemorate this latest achievement.
