Magic Johnson had harsh words about Dennis Schroder and his performances with the Los Angeles Lakers this season. After getting traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder, the point guard appeared to be that third-string the Lakers needed to defend their NBA title.

Well, that never happened, and the German player ended this season on a really low note. The Lakers Nation punished him for his poor games against the Phoenix Suns (he went scoreless in Game 5), and Magic jumped on that train.

"I don't think he's a Laker. I don't know if they're gonna sign him back or not, but I don't think he brings the winning mentality and attitude we need. He had a chance to show that in this series. And to me, he failed in this series."

As the greatest point guard in NBA history and one of the five best players in the franchise history, Magic has the credentials to talk about whoever he wants. Unfortunately, Dennis didn't really live up to the expectations, especially after turning down a 4-year, $84 million extension contract from the team.

His continuity with the team is doubtful right now. After this season, the Lakers will have plenty of questions to answer. Dennis failed to rise when Anthony Davis and LeBron James were sidelined, which hurt his chances of getting a big contract.

The scenario doesn't look promising for the point guard, at least in Los Angeles. When a legend like Magic Johnson calls you out like that, you know something was wrong.
