After falling behind 0-1 in the second round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs, Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves have taken control of the series, securing a 2-1 lead over the Golden State Warriors.
The Timberwolves certainly received a major advantage when Warriors star Steph Curry went down with a hamstring injury in Game 1, forcing him to miss potentially the remainder of the series.
On Monday night, the Timberwolves will look to take a 3-1 lead back to Minnesota, facing the Curry-less Warriors in Game 4.
Going into Game 3, Edwards had recorded 17 career postseason wins, tied with NBA Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett for the most in Timberwolves history.
Edwards guided Minnesota to a 102-97 win in Game 3, recording 36 points on 13-of-28 shooting, four rebounds and four assists.
In doing so, Edwards has now passed Garnett to take sole possession of first place on the Timberwolves' all-time postseason wins list. What makes this even more impressive is that Edwards, in just his fifth NBA season, now accounts for half of Minnesota's total playoff wins (36).
