The Pacers have been “quietly” keeping tabs on Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga since the start of last season, according to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.
Indiana has been monitoring him long enough that executives are starting to wonder what the Warriors would want back in a real conversation.
One name Siegel floats is Bennedict Mathurin.
League chatter suggests the Pacers could consider moving someone from their young core — Mathurin, Jarace Walker or Obi Toppin — because of future cap pressure and the number of mouths to feed in the rotation.
Nothing is imminent, but the Pacers are clearly positioning themselves. And Kuminga is clearly on their radar.
