Lonzo Ball matched a career high in points this past week when he dropped 33 on the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night. His team ended up emerging from the outing with a 108-103 victory.
It has been that sort of year for the 23-year-old. Despite being the subject of never-ending trade speculation and gossip, Ball has quietly put together the best season of his young career.
So far in 2021, he is averaging 14.6 points,4.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists per outing, all while shooting a career-best 37.8% from beyond the arc and 41.6% from the field.
This past week, Ball sat down with Shams Charania of Stadium and discussed myriad topics. One in particular that stood out was what his next big career goal was.

“Individually, being an All-Star is definitely my next goal on the list and I think that should be coming up pretty soon,” he said.
It remains to be seen if Ball ultimately reaches that, but either way, he is objectively one of the most productive young players in the league.
Whether he becomes a future All-Star or not, two prominent teams have their sights set on stealing him from the Pelicans come the offseason.
Where will Ball be playing come 2022? Time will tell.
