It was an ugly loss for the Minnesota Timberwolves Thursday night, as poor shooting and too many miscues led them to a 110-105 defeat to the Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena.
Minnesota was already short-handed heading into the matchup as point guard Mike Conley continues to deal with a toe injury. Rookie guard Rob Dillingham left the game during the third quarter and it was later determined to be a right ankle sprain, knocking him out of the contest.

Dillingham appeared to tweak his ankle after he fouled Davion Mitchell with 50.1 seconds remaining in the quarter. He had played a season-high 10 minutes before his departure, contributing two points and an assist.
The Raptors were hot shooting the ball throughout the night, shooting a 51.4% clip from the floor for the game. The Wolves were back to their old ways, turning the ball over 17 times and allowing 23 points off those turnovers.
The Wolves were outscored 22-12 in the final six minutes of the game.
Both teams were tied at 95 with about five minutes remaining when the implosion seemed to begin, as Rudy Gobert called for the ball down low in the post but Julius Randle — who was at the top of the key — was hesitant on passing it, and Gobert was called for a defensive three seconds in the paint.

Scottie Barnes proceeded to hit two free throws on the other end, giving Toronto a lead. Gobert turned the ball over while attempting to receive a pass from Randle on the next possession, and Barnes hit a two-point jumper for the Raptors after. The Wolves once again turned the ball over on the next offensive possession, this time it was Donte DiVincenzo, and Barnes dunked on a transition play to put Toronto up six.
Minnesota continued to have miscues repeatedly happen as the final minutes ticked, including a missed Jaden McDaniels dunk that was followed by a Barrett dunk for the Raptors.
The Raptors bench also dominated, scoring 34 points in comparison to the Wolves' 15 points off the bench.
Naz Reid appeared to have injured his leg at the end of the game, but he walked off the court on his own.

Anthony Edwards scored 11 points in the fourth quarter but Minnesota just couldn't take care of the ball, while Toronto couldn't miss shots on Thursday night. Edwards led the Wolves with 26 points on 9-for-20 shooting from the floor, including 5-for-9 from three. Randle had 23 points, along with nine rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
McDaniels, who played a team-high 41 minutes, finished with 22 points on 8-for-15 shooting from the field and 2-for-6 from three. He also had seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in the contest.
The Timberwolves (8-7) have a tough matchup next, as they'll take on the Boston Celtics (12-3) at TD Garden on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
