Dr. Anthony Fauci wasn't always the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director. He actually enjoyed playing basketball in high school and was the point guard for the 1958 Regis basketball team.
Once Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr saw that little tidbit, he just had to provide a scouting report on Fauci.
"Scouting report: great awareness, excellent communicator, smart decision maker. Didn’t take any s--t either," Kerr said in a tweet.
Kerr's scouting report is spot on, and it not only applies to Fauci's basketball skills, but his talent as a doctor as well.
Fauci is leading the nation amid the coronavirus outbreak, and his research and expertise will help the United States, and the world, be in better shape to recover from the virus sooner rather than later.
