WATCH: Jayson Tatum embarrasses Hawks with steal, dunk sequence
Tatum just did the Hawks dirty. Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

Even as a rookie, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum is stepping into the role of team leader quite well. Having upped his game big time since Kyrie Irving went down to a season-ending injury, the youngster is going to feel a ton of pressure heading into the playoffs.

As of right now, it doesn’t look like said pressure is getting to him. Just ask an Atlanta Hawks squad that was completely embarrassed by Tatum on Sunday. It came in the form of a steal and dunk sequence that left most observers picking their jaws up from the floor.

Not only did Tatum come up with the steal, he was able to burn multiple Hawks defenders in transition with what looked to be a Euro-step before hammering the ball home. Heck, Hawks guard Damion Lee had no chance there. He was left in the dust, only to wonder what exactly went wrong in the process.

That represented just two of the 19 points Tatum had on 7-of-11 shooting through the first three quarters of Sunday’s game.
