The Toronto Raptors have been flying pretty high of late. Despite dropping their last game 121-115 to the New York Knicks, the team has won seven of their last 10 contests overall. The Raptors should have a slightly easier path than usual when it comes to returning to the winner's column on Wednesday night against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The matchup will mark a back-to-back for Toronto, and their third game in four nights. It will also be their fourth game in a row at the comforts of Scotiabank Arena, before heading out on a three-game road trip.
The injury reports for this game are indicating that Memphis will be without several key contributors, but one in particular stands out above the rest.
Grizzlies sharpshooter Desmond Bane is expected to miss the matchup due to a left ankle sprain.
Cam Spencer (left thumb injury) will join Bane in street clothes for tonight's game.
The following Grizzlies players have also been listed as questionable, due to injury, for the game tonight: Brandon Clarke (back), Marcus Smart (right finger), Vince Williams Jr. (right ankle), and John Konchar (right shoulder).
The Grizzlies will not be the only team bringing a handful of injuries into this contest. The Raptors' injury report also features a long list of players.
RJ Barrett will miss another contest for the Raptors due to being in concussion protocol. Jakob Poeltl joins him as being out for this game after suffering a hip injury against the Knicks in Tuesday night's matchup. Immanuel Quickley will not be available for the game either, due to injury management.
Whether Chris Boucher will play against Memphis remains in doubt. The Raptors veteran is questionable for the matchup due to illness.
Between these two teams, there is no shortage of injuries for Wednesday night's showdown in Toronto.
