The Arizona Cardinals are finally done with a very dismal season that saw them finish 4-13 and miss the NFL playoffs by a mile.

It was a season marked by wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins‘ six-game suspension due to testing positive for PEDs at the start of the season and the ACL injury that ended quarterback Kyler Murray‘s year in Week 14.

Big changes could be coming for the organization, as head coach Kliff Kingsbury has been fired and general manager Steve Keim is going to step away from his role.

But that could be just the start of an overhaul, as the Cardinals are reportedly hoping to trade Hopkins this offseason.

These two teams could benefit from his services in 2023.

New England Patriots

Despite missing the postseason by a hair, the Patriots seem to have something to start building on, assuming they figure out whether they will fully invest in Mac Jones being their starting quarterback moving forward.

Acquiring Hopkins could help with his development, as Hopkins is still a very capable threat at age 30.

He put up 717 yards and three touchdowns in nine games this season, and he is just two seasons removed from accumulating 1,407 yards and getting his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl nod.

New England ranked just 26th in total yards this year, so one way or another it needs some serious help offensively.

Dallas Cowboys

Despite losing Pro Bowl wideout Amari Cooper last offseason to the Cleveland Browns, the Cowboys had an impressive season, finishing 12-5 and ranking in the top five in both points scored and allowed.

But their passing attack could use some fortifying, as they’re somewhat overdependent on CeeDee Lamb.

If owner Jerry Jones is willing to go all-in by trading for Hopkins, perhaps the 10-year veteran could put Dallas in true contention for its first Super Bowl championship since the 1995 season.
