The San Francisco 49ers announced that they have activated cornerback Dontae Johnson from the practice squad, making him available for this weekend's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 49ers could be down two defensive backs on Sunday. Cornerback Charvarius Ward is dealing with a groin injury, while safety Talanoa Hufanga spent the week in the concussion protocol.
Both defensive backs were listed as "questionable" for the game.
The 49ers and Chiefs are scheduled to kick off on Sunday at 1:25 p.m. PT from Levi's Stadium.
