San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk joined Airing It Out With Housh & Scandrick, hosted by T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Orlando Scandrick, this week. The receiver made his opinion evident when asked about the 49ers potentially adding quarterback Baker Mayfield off the waiver wire.

"Give me, give me Brock Purdy," Aiyuk declared at the start of the interview, making it clear which of the two quarterbacks he prefers.

"It's beyond how he played," Aiyuk explained. "It's the preparation throughout the week when you don't even think you have a chance to touch the field. You are still prepared to go out there and give yourself a chance to perform. That's why I could respect it."

Aiyuk went on to speak about Purdy apologizing for missing him on a play, which surprised the receiver because he didn't expect an apology from his quarterback. It sounds like Aiyuk is all in on Purdy, a.k.a. Mr. Irrelevant, completing the season and taking this team to the promised land.

Purdy, the last overall pick in this year's draft, will be the 49ers' starting quarterback moving forward after Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a season-ending foot injury early in Sunday's 33-17 win over the Miami Dolphins.
