In a flurry of roster moves on Saturday, the San Francisco 49ers announced that they will be elevating two players from the practice squad to the active roster for Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers: defensive end Austin Bryant, who officially signed to the practice squad on Saturday, and linebacker Curtis Robinson.

Bryant has been in a number of moves recently, as he was initially cut on the 53-man cutdown date before being immediately re-signed to the active roster following moves to Injured Reserve(IR).

However, following the announcement of Nick Bosa's deal, Bryant was cut as a corresponding move, and now has been re-signed to the practice squad.

In other moves, the 49ers activated Bosa from the reserve/did not report list to the active roster ahead of Sunday's game, while also releasing kicker Matthew Wright from the practice squad to make room for Bryant.

With Bryant earning one of three possible elevations from the practice squad this season, the 49ers will now have Bosa, Bryant, Drake Jackson, and Clelin Ferrell as their top defensive ends on Sunday, barring any inactive listings, while Kerry Hyder could serve as a versatile piece both inside and outside.

Robinson likely earns the call-up for his special teams capabilities, which could lead to one of the other linebackers, possibly a rookie, earning an "inactive" slate for Week 1.
