49ers' Fred Warner shares warning for rest of NFL

Linebacker Fred Warner shared a rather grim warning for the rest of the NFL as his 5-0 San Francisco 49ers prepare to face the 2-2 Cleveland Browns in Northeast Ohio this coming Sunday.

"I honestly don't think that we've hit our peak," Warner said about San Francisco while speaking with media members on Wednesday, per David Bonilla of 49ers WebZone.

That's quite a take considering all the 49ers have achieved since Week 1. They've thus far notched four double-digit wins and are coming off a 42-10 "Sunday Night Football" dismantling of a Dallas Cowboys team thought to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender. According to ESPN stats, the 49ers are surrendering a league-low 13.6 points per game and scoring an NFC-best 33.4 points per contest.

"I think that we just continue to keep our head down and grind and stay humble," Warner insisted. "Like, if you saw the way that we graded this tape this morning, you would see that we're taking this really serious."

49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has won all 12 of his career starts, including the playoffs, that he finished healthy and leads the NFL among qualified players with an 83.6 adjusted QBR and a 123.1 passer rating heading into Week 6. Despite all the numbers, Warner acknowledged the 49ers took no victory laps following their blowout win over Dallas.

"It's not we just scrapped this past game just because we beat them by 32 points," he explained. "We're trying to find ways to get better in the little things that you do see out there."

As of Thursday morning, OddsChecker listed the 49ers as the overall betting favorites at +450 odds to win Super Bowl LVIII this coming February. That outlet also had the Niners as seven-point favorites to beat a Cleveland side that may be without quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder), but it sounds like Warner and his teammates will nevertheless be ready for a battle come Sunday afternoon.
