According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the San Francisco 49ers are bringing back defensive tackle T. Y. McGill on a one-year deal. He was an unrestricted free agent.

The Seattle Seahawks signed McGill (6-0, 294) as an undrafted free agent out of NC State in 2015. He registered eight tackles, two tackles for a loss, and two quarterback hits through nine game appearances with the 49ers last season, per NFL.com.

McGill, 30, has recorded 43 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, 23 quarterback hits, a safety, and three passes defensed in 55 game appearances through his eight NFL seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Chargers, Minnesota Vikings, and 49ers.
