Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports that the San Francisco 49ers are working on re-signing wide receiver Chris Conley to a one-year deal. The player became an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday.

The Kansas City Chiefs selected Conley (6-3, 205) out of Georgia in the third round (No. 76 overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. He registered three receptions for 69 yards through eight game appearances last season, adding two receptions for 35 yards in the playoffs, per Pro Football Reference.

As noted by Maiocco, the wideout was also a key contributor on special teams.

Conley, 31, has caught 220 passes for 2,922 yards and 15 touchdowns while adding three rushing yards on one carry in 117 game appearances (63 starts) through his nine NFL seasons spent with the Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, and 49ers.
