Aaron Rodgers envisioned NFC title showdown with Tom Brady

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and Green Bay Packers starting signal-caller Aaron Rodgers are widely viewed as two of the all-time great offensive CEOs in NFL history and are among the top QBs in the sport today.

Brady finished second behind only Rodgers with 40 regular-season touchdown passes, while Rodgers is likely the league's uncrowned MVP who ended Week 17 leading the NFL with 48 touchdown throws, a 121.5 passer rating, a total QBR of 84.3, and a 70.7 completion percentage.

Once Brady made his much-anticipated move from the New England Patriots to the Bucs in March, Rodgers began anticipating a potential showdown between the two in a future NFC Championship Game.

That clash will happen this Sunday at Lambeau Field.

"I've been a fan of his for a long time and enjoyed the few times we got to play," Rodgers said of Brady when speaking with reporters on Wednesday, per Nick Shook of the NFL's official website. "I remember when I heard the news about him coming to the NFC, I thought this was a real possibility. I'm excited about the opportunity to play against him."

Brady and company got the better of Rodgers when Tampa Bay trounced Green Bay 38-10 at Raymond James Stadium on Oct. 18, and the six-time Super Bowl champion quarterback then avenged a pair of regular-season defeats to the New Orleans Saints last Sunday. This time around, Rodgers will be looking to laugh last and laugh best, not to mention earn the right to represent the NFC at Raymond James Stadium on Feb. 7.
