Aaron Rodgers will become a member of the New York Jets at some point in the foreseeable future.

The Green Bay Packers and Jets are currently discussing what appropriate compensation for the future Hall of Famer would be, but the end result is inevitable.

Rodgers’ current team no longer wants him, and his next team is too far along in the process not to get him.

All that said, heading into this offseason, Rodgers was open to joining a team other than New York. This week he appeared on Pat McAfee’s show. While there, he divulged the other squad that tickled his fancy.

“I think there were other teams that were interested, and obviously there’s certain players that I have a lot of love and affinity for, especially one specific person,” Rodgers said.

It was clear that he was talking about Raiders receiver Davante Adams there.

“There’s definitely one particular guy, him and I have this special unspoken rapport,” Rodgers continued.

Rather than attempt to get Rodgers, Las Vegas decided to go out and get Jimmy Garoppolo. The Raiders ultimately signed the former San Francisco 49er to a three-year, $73 million deal.

Rodgers comes with a lot of headaches, but he is also one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

Will the Raiders rue the day when they could have gotten Rodgers but instead opted for Garoppolo? Time will tell.
