Aaron Rodgers reveals racy, outside-the-box rehab option for torn Achilles

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is no stranger to out-of-the-box thinking, which hasn't changed since suffering a season-ending Achilles injury earlier this week.

Appearing on the "Pat McAfee Show" on Friday, Rodgers covered various topics, including a racy potential rehab option.

"There's ideas that some of the noises from Dolphins when they're love-making, the frequency of that is actually healing to the body," Rodgers said. "So, I might be doing some of that."

Rodgers didn't reveal if he needed to be present for the act or if a simple recording would do the trick, but it was clear that the dolphins he spoke of were outside the AFC East variety. Jokes aside, it's hard to know if Rodgers is serious about diving into such a unique method. However, considering his past, taking him for his word is probably wise.

Regarding Rodgers' overall plan for rehab, he told McAfee he was keeping that information "close to the vest," refusing to reveal the simplest of information, such as how long he'd be on crutches. While Rodgers was mum on his recovery, he did all but confirm that he'd be back in the Jets huddle in 2024. When asked whether he'll play next season, Rodgers egged on his doubters, adding, "Then watch what I do."

Rodgers recalled the hours after suffering a torn Achilles on "Monday Night Football" in Week 1 as one of the worst periods of his life. However, in another sign that he'll return to the Jets, his mentality quickly changed.

"Then the sun rose the next day and I found myself in L.A. and had surgery on Wednesday," Rodgers said.

Dealt a massive blow only a handful of plays into his run in New York, Rodgers seems motivated to return better than ever, which should offer somber Jets fans some respite, at the very least.
