Aaron Rodgers says Jets offense needs to 'grow up'

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers said Tuesday that the team's offense needs to "grow up."

There were multiple occasions during the team's Week 3 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday when key players on offense were seen screaming on the sidelines.

Wideout Garrett Wilson had a lively exchange with quarterback Zach Wilson, which the receiver explained afterward as "just frustration that we're not moving the ball."

Running back Michael Carter was also caught on camera during the contest yelling at running backs coach Taylor Embree in the fourth quarter of the 15-10 defeat.

Rodgers went down with a torn Achilles after just four snaps in Week 1, leading to Wilson going under center as the starter in New York.

The former No. 2 overall pick's struggles from his first two seasons have continued in 2023, as he's gone just 44-for-84 with 467 passing yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions for an abysmal 57.0 quarterback rating through two-plus games.

Gang Green signed veteran signal-caller Trevor Siemian on Tuesday to, perhaps, give Wilson some quarterback competition.

Since miraculously stealing an overtime victory against the Buffalo Bills in Week 1 on the strength of their defense and special teams, the Jets have dropped two in a row. They've only scored 10 points in each of their last two games.

New York has two of their first three October contests against Super Bowl LVII competitors, as they host the champion Kansas City Chiefs on "Sunday Night Football" at 8:20 p.m. ET in Week 4, before facing the Denver Broncos in Week 5 and the defending NFC-champion Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6.
