Adoree' Jackson makes passionate plea to Giants fans

New York Giants cornerback Adoree' Jackson shared a big request for fans amid what already feels like a lost season for the 1-4 club.

"Please don’t jump off the edge," Jackson pleaded during a Tuesday morning appearance on New York sports radio station WFAN, per John Healy of Audacy. "We’re gonna be alright. You want to have an escape from reality and you go towards us, but we’re not making it any easier for you guys. … There’s going to be brighter days."

Giants right tackle Evan Neal infuriated fans and media members alike last week when he said people who booed the team during its 24-3 home loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Oct. 2 were "bandwagoners" who "flip hot dogs and hamburgers somewhere." Neal later apologized on multiple occasions, and wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins vowed ahead of the weekend the Giants would "go out there p****** off and play for each other" at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.

The Giants were ultimately dominated by the Dolphins en route to suffering their fourth double-digit loss of the campaign. Additionally, quarterback Daniel Jones went down with a neck injury against Miami while playing behind an offensive line that repeatedly betrayed him over the season's first five games.

Despite New York's record and the fact the club is ranked dead last in the NFL with a point differential of -91, Jackson insisted Tuesday that the Giants aren't the league's worst overall team heading into Week 6.

"We have to have faith in the process, faith in journey," Jackson added. "We don’t in that locker room hang our heads low, pout, 'Woe is me.' I think we have the right guys in there to understand that situation and fix the situation, but at the same time, we gotta go out there and show it and put it on tape. Not for anyone else but ourselves."

Jackson is in a contract year and could become available for other clubs before the Oct. 31 trade deadline if the Giants fail to earn a win over the next couple of weeks. As of Tuesday afternoon, OddsChecker listed New York as a 14-point underdog against Buffalo.
