Former Minnesota Vikings, running back, Adrian Peterson will appear on the upcoming season of ABC’s hit show "Dancing With The Stars."

Peterson will be competing against 13 other stars.

  • Barry Williams - played Greg Brady on "The Brady Bunch"
  • Matt Walsh - comedian and actor
  • Alyson Hannigan - actress
  • Mauricio Umansky - celebrity real estate broker
  • Harry Jowsey - Australian reality TV star
  • Tyson Beckford - model and actor
  • Lele Pons - YouTuber, actress and singer
  • Xochitl Gomez - Disney star
  • Mira Sorvino - actress
  • Jason Mraz - singer
  • Jamie Lynn Spears - known for role in "Zoey 101"
  • Charity Lawson - former "Bacheleorette"
  • Ariana Madix - actress

We have no idea if Peterson can dance, but the fact that he’ll be on the show is a good indication that he has some skills on the floor. He certainly has a history of delivering some epic performances, including his MVP season in 2012 and riding into his 30th birthday party on a camel.

Peterson is regarded as one of the greatest running backs in the history of the NFL, running for 11,747 yards and 97 touchdowns over 10 seasons with the Vikings. His greatest season came in 2012 as he ran for 2,097 yards and 12 touchdowns. A non-quarterback hasn't won the MVP award since.

Peterson is also a four-team All-Pro selection, three-time rushing champion and led the NFL in rushing touchdowns twice.

Peterson has not played in the NFL since stints with the Tennessee Titans and Seattle Seahawks during the 2021 season, and is set to turn 39 next March.
