Adrian Peterson wants to play with Tom Brady, Buccaneers in 2021

Veteran running back Adrian Peterson has accomplished many things throughout his NFL career. However, he has never played in a Super Bowl.

The 35-year-old wants to sign with a contender in 2021 after spending the 2020 campaign with the Detroit Lions. It sounds like he has a specific destination in mind, too, with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"That would definitely be something I'm interested in," Peterson told TMZ Sports. "If they want me to be a part of it, I'll be a part of it for sure. Because I'm definitely trying to add a trophy to my résumé.

"Playing with Tom Brady, that by itself is enticing," Peterson said.

It's unclear if the Buccaneers would be interested in signing Peterson. They have to re-sign Leonard Fournette, Chris Godwin, Lavonte David, Shaquil Barrett and Rob Gronkowski, among others.

Fournette proved to be an excellent addition to the running game alongside Ronald Jones. So, signing a soon-to-be 36-year-old Peterson over Fournette wouldn't make much sense.

Still, Peterson had a solid 2020 campaign, running for 604 yards and seven touchdowns with 12 catches for 101 yards. If he doesn't land with the Bucs, maybe another contending team will take a chance on him.
