After 1-21 record, Hall of Famer Mike Singletary no longer high school coach
It could be some time before Hall of Fame linebacker and former NFL head coach Mike Singletary lands his next coaching gig.
On Thursday, Callie Caplan of The Dallas Morning News reported Singletary was out as Trinity Christian-Addison head coach after his teams went 1-21 over two seasons. TCA-Addison went 0-11 last year.
Caplan added that Singletary left the program in December to pursue speaking engagements and consulting opportunities.
Singletary went 18-22 with the 49ers before San Francisco dismissed him ahead of the final week of the 2010 season.
Many remember his tenure with the organization for his epic rant on tight end Vernon Davis:
The Memphis Express of the Alliance of American Football went 2-6 under Singletary in 2019 before the league suspended play.
