Aggies defensive end Myles Garrett was not happy with his team's early exit from the NFL playoffs on Saturday. The Browns were embarrassed by the Texans in Houston to the tune of a 45-14 shellacking.

The Browns led at one point 14-10, but it was all Texans after that, including two consecutive pick-6s thrown by Cleveland quarterback Joe Flacco.

The Browns boasted the league's top ranked defense heading into the postseason, but could do little to stop Houston's rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, who logged 274 passing yards and three touchdowns.

After the game, Garrett used words like "undermanned" and "outgunned" when describing his team's performance.

"We got beat," said Garrett. "We were outcoached, undermanned and outgunned.

"The game wasn't that far away from us. It wwas all about the execution," Garrett continued. "Speaking as a defensive player, I know we couild have executed a lot better."

Cleveland won the first contest between the two teams back in Week 16, 36-22. But that seems like forever ago. Garrett indicated that Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz didn't change much of the game plan entering this matchup.

“[Schwartz] said from the beginning he’ll ride with what got us here. There wouldn’t be a magic call to get us out of anything,” Garrett said. “They were doing things a little bit differently and it kept us off balance. We have to be able to make plays all across the field. Not just up front or on the back end. It’s all together.”

The Browns are out of the playoffs, meaning the former standout Aggies defensive end has another season pass without playing for a Super Bowl. The Browns have never played in a Super Bowl, and Garrett has spent his entire seven-year career in Cleveland.

Garrett played for the Aggies from 2014 through 2016 before being drafted first overall by the Browns in the 2017 NFL Draft.
