Analyst names two teams that should trade for Bears DE Robert Quinn

If the Chicago Bears don’t start stringing some wins together, the team could be looking to have a fire sale of sorts at the NFL trade deadline on Nov. 1.

The Bears have a few intriguing pieces they could move in the next few weeks if the team becomes a seller, and one NFL analyst believes if that happens, the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers could be serious suitors for star pass rusher Robert Quinn.

“Can Quinn regain his Pro Bowl-caliber form this year? Probably, but it's unlikely to happen in a bad Bears defense,” Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox recently wrote. “No squad has allowed more rushing yards than Chicago, which means opposing teams aren't inclined to drop back and pass often. Quinn's $12.8 million base salary is pass-rusher reasonable, and we'd expect teams to make serious inquiries if Chicago's slide continues.

“While the Broncos have just $9.1 million in cap space available and would have to clear a little room, Gregory's injury makes Denver a sensible landing spot. The Los Angeles Chargers, who have $6.5 million in space, would have to be even more financially creative. However, they are another logical landing spot. The Chargers recently placed Joey Bosa on injured reserve, and his groin tear appears more serious than originally believed.”

Quinn could be Chicago’s most appealing trade chip. He has one sack and ranks second on the Bears in pressures (seven) and is third in hurries (five). The 32-year-old had the second-most sacks (18.5) in the NFL last season.
