Andy Reid leaves stadium in ambulance as precaution after falling ill
The Kansas City Chiefs were upset by the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. However, that might not be the franchise's top concern.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid left Arrowhead Stadium in an ambulance after falling ill, according to NFL Network's James Palmer. Reid should be OK, Palmer adds.
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Reid's removal from the stadium by ambulance was precautionary. He reportedly wasn't feeling great and was dehydrated.
Reid did speak to the team postgame, Blair Kerkhoff of the Kansas City Star reports. However, Chiefs special teams coach Dave Toub took questions from reporters postgame.
"He just wasn't feeling well after the game," Toub said. "He did talk to the team, and it was a good talk. Pretty much, 'You have to quit the turnovers.'"
Reid, 63, was on the sideline for the entirety of Sunday's loss.
The Chiefs had four turnovers against the Chargers, including two interceptions thrown by former MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Tyreek Hill and Clyde Edwards-Helaire each lost fumbles.
Kansas City is now 1-2 on the season, which is uncharacteristic in the Mahomes era.
