Another former Packer is following Aaron Rodgers to the Jets

The New York Packers sound like a strange mismatch created by artificial intelligence, but it's basically what's happening in real life — as another former member of the Green Bay Packers has taken flight to the "big apple" to join the New York Jets.

Safety Adrian Amos is the latest to follow four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers in his quest to win a Super Bowl apart from Green Bay.

This, according to Ian Rapoport, who is reporting that the veteran safety is signing a one-year deal with the Jets worth up to $4M.

That's not a huge chunk of change, but it could be invaluable for the Jets, who seem dead-set on making Rodgers as comfortable as possible in his new digs.

Amos is now the seventh player — including Rodgers — who was on Green Bay's roster last season that is now with the Jets, and that doesn't even count offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, who held the same position with the Packers from 2019-21.

For those keeping track, the following Packers have now become Jets.

  • Aaron Rodgers, quarterback
  • Tim Boyle, quarterback
  • Allen Lazard, wide receiver
  • Randall Cobb, wide receiver,
  • Malik Taylor, wide receiver
  • Billy Turner, offensive tackle
  • Adrian Amos, safety

So much for that wish list not being a real thing, right?
