Antonio Brown posts video of workout with Russell Wilson
Antonio Brown has posted a video on Instagram of him catching passes from Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, sparking rumors that the Seahawks may have their sights set on adding the divisive receiver to their roster.
The video, which was taken in San Diego, shows Brown pulling in a deep toss from Wilson while showing off his route-running skills. The Seahawks have reportedly shown interest in adding Brown to their receiving corps, with Wilson leading the charge. While DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are a solid receiver duo, the Seahawks lack depth at the position.
Brown missed all but one game last season, where he played with Brady on the Patriots, racking up 56 receiving yards and a touchdown before he was cut by the team after allegations of sexual assault surfaced. He has not played in the NFL since. Even if Brown is signed by the Seahawks or any other team, he is expected to be suspended by the league upon returning, with reports saying he may miss up to eight games.
However, the risk might be worth it for a team like the Seahawks. At 31 years old, Brown still presumably has several good years left and during his time in the NFL, he has been among the most prolific pass-catchers in the league, racking up over 11,000 yards receiving and 75 receiving touchdowns. Brown has also been linked to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Baltimore Ravens, though the Buccaneers seem intent on shutting down rumors connecting them to Brown.
