Cleveland Browns have the same unfortunate news they’ve released 13 times now, they’ve sent another player to the injured reserve.

Anthony Walker Jr. suffered a knee injury against the Bears back on Dec. 17 and will now go on the injured reserve, effectively ending his season.

Walker had already missed the last few games but was thought to have a chance to return for the playoffs. Unfortunately, that won’t happen and his season has been cut short for the second straight season. In 12 games this season, the veteran linebacker totaled 44 tackles, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries.

Cleveland has Walker on a one-year contract, so there is a legit chance he has played his final downs as the Browns' starting middle linebacker. Sione Takitaki has given the Browns better play at the position since taking over for the Injured Walker, though he is a free agent after the season too.

In a corresponding move, the Browns have once against brought DE Sam Kamara to the active roster.

It is unfair that a team captain and great locker room presence has had his season cut short once again, but that is the game of football.
