Baltimore Ravens Pro Football Hall of Fame watch

The Pro Football Hall of Fame will induct the class of 2023 on Aug. 5. Here are those from the 2023 Ravens who could join the immortals in Canton someday.

Fringe Hall of Famers

John Harbaugh, head coach: He has the 25th-most wins (147) and 37th-best winning percentage (.607) in NFL history and is one of the league's better-known coaches. However, Harbaugh must do more to make the Hall of Fame.

Although he helped deliver the franchise's second Super Bowl championship and owns the NFL record for most road playoff wins (eight), Harbaugh is quite average in the postseason (11-9 record). If Harbaugh capitalizes on QB Lamar Jackson being in the prime of his career and brings home another championship, his résumé then could be enough to make the Hall of Fame.

Odell Beckham Jr., wide receiver: Beckham Jr. may have had one of the more prolific starts to an NFL career in recent memory. In his first three seasons, he had 288 catches for 4,122 yards and 35 touchdown catches, made three straight Pro Bowls and was named the 2014 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

However, Beckham Jr. has since taken a dip due to multiple injuries. He hasn't had a 1,000-yard receiving season since 2019 and didn't play at all in the 2022 season.

If the 30-year-old can turn his career around in Baltimore, he could earn his way into the Hall of Fame. Great wide receivers have played into their mid- to late 30s.

Beckham Jr. earned a Super Bowl ring with the Rams in the 2021 season. At the very least, he needs to add another to be in the HOF conversation if he doesn't fully regain his Pro Bowl form.

Lamar Jackson, quarterback: Since entering the league in 2018, Jackson has been one of the league's more exciting players. He earned the 2019 NFL MVP after throwing for 3,127 yards and 36 touchdowns and rushing for 1,206 yards and seven touchdowns.

At just 26, Jackson owns multiple NFL records, including most rushing yards by a quarterback (1,206) in a season, most 1,000-yard rushing seasons by a quarterback (2019, 2020) and most games with 100 rushing yards by a quarterback (12).

There isn't a lot wrong with Jackson's game, but he has struggled to win the games that matter most. In the postseason, he is 1-3 and hasn't made it past the divisional round. The Ravens surrounded Jackson with the best supporting cast he's had this offseason, so there's no better year to prove his doubters wrong and continue building his case for Canton.

A young player who could develop into a Hall of Famer

Roquan Smith, linebacker: Baltimore traded for Smith at midseason in 2022, and it didn't take long for him to become an impact player and leader on defense. The 26-year-old has never had a season with fewer than than 100 tackles, two sacks and one interception, but he has made only one Pro Bowl (2022).

The Ravens haven't had a true anchor in the middle of their defense since Hall of Fame LB Ray Lewis, but Smith could be on his way to cementing himself as the franchise's next great linebacker. After signing a five-year, $100 million contract, Smith has plenty of time to do so in Baltimore.
