Baltimore Ravens reduce mandatory minicamp to two days

As the NFL Players Association has repeatedly hit back at the idea of so-called voluntary organized team activities, some clubs have altered practice schedules and even scrapped mandatory minicamp sessions set to take place this month.

According to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, the Baltimore Ravens have reduced their mandatory minicamp by one day and will now instead practice on only Tuesday and Wednesday before breaking ahead of next month's training camp.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is expected to speak with reporters at some point this week and may explain why he elected to give his players one day off before the start of summer.

Last week, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan announced he called off the remainder of his team's OTAs and also canceled mandatory minicamp scheduled to occur Tuesday through Thursday after multiple players went down to injuries. Houston Texans head coach David Culley came to an agreement with players to cancel their mandatory minicamp after the club "accomplished what we wanted to get accomplished" during OTAs.

The Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles are also among teams that canceled minicamp.
