Battle of the bans: Marshon Lattimore banned from Tampa brewery
The fallout from last Sunday's brawl between Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans and New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore continued Friday.
On Monday, the league announced Evans would serve a one-game suspension, drawing a strong rebuke for his actions in a statement that said his involvement in the skirmish "does not reflect the high standards of sportsmanship expected of a professional."
Then, Evans received the devastating news that he was banned for life from the New Orleans restaurant Blue Oak BBQ.
The latest development came on Friday when word came that Marshon Lattimore was banned... from a Tampa Bay-based brewery.
According to Patch.com, Big Storm Brewing Co. announced the Saints' standout cornerback is a persona non grata at all four of their Florida locations.
"We love and support the Bucs whole-heartedly, so if restaurants in New Orleans want to ban one of the best players in our franchises' history, the least we can do is return the favor," said a co-owner of the brewery, L.J. Govoni.
While the battle rages off the field, the two teams will have to wait until Week 13 to settle the score on the field.
