The Bears signed Chargers free agent linbeacker Amen Ogbongbemiga to a one-year deal worth $2.1 million according to a league source.

Ogbongbemiga has been playing almost entirely on special teams, with only 129 plays on defense in three seasons. He has made two starts and was on for 80% of special teams plays last year with the Chargers, a career high. Ogbongbemiga has made 11 career special teams tackles and has 36 total tackles. He also has two fumble rrecoveries.

An undrafted free agent from Oklahoma State, he is 6-foot, 231 pounds and 25 years old.
