Bears bench Mitchell Trubisky for Nick Foles in second half vs. Falcons
The Chicago Bears opted to use their backup quarterback in the second half against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday after getting frustrated with Mitchell Trubisky.
Chicago benched Trubisky at the start of the third quarter in favor of veteran quarterback Nick Foles.
Trubisky was pulled after throwing an interception to Falcons cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson. Atlanta scored a field goal on the drive following the interception to take a 26-10 lead.
Trubisky completed 13 of 22 passes for 128 yards with one touchdown against one interception.
Foles, who Chicago acquired via trade from the Jacksonville Jaguars, threw an interception on his first drive of the game... which isn't ideal.
With under ten minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Foles has completed just seven of 15 passes for 69 yards.
